Η επέκταση της εργασίας σε μια κοινωνία καταναλωτών και εργαζομένων 

ισοπέδωσε όλες τις δραστηριότητες, 

εξομοιώνοντας τες με το μόχθο για την επιβίωση.

Έτσι το animal laborans κατέλαβε τη δημόσια σφαίρα,και «δεν θα μπορεί να υπάρξει αληθινή δημόσια σφαίρα, 

αλλά μόνον ιδιωτικές δραστηριότητες

που επιδεικνύονται ανοικτά» (Arendt 1998:134).

Η νεωτερικότητα

«επιζητεί να αποκλείσει τον πολιτικό άνδρα

 δηλαδή τον άνδρα που ΠΡΑΤΤΕΙ και ΛΕΓΕΙ 

από την δημόσια σφαίρα της». (Arendt 1998:159)

Ο κακός ζήλος είναι ζέσις ψυχής μοχθηράς

 και εκδηλούται ως ζηλοτυπία ,

ως φθόνος,ως μίσος προς τους έχοντας λαμπρόν τι.

Ο κακός ζήλος κινείται επί τα φαύλα και πονηρά και βασκαίνει τα καλά.

Ο ζηλήμων ζητεί την αμαύρωσιν παντός λάμποντος 

εις τας όψεις αυτού και φθονεί τον κάτοχον αυτού...

Ο ζηλήμων είναι κακός και μελετά το κακόν,

η δε ❤️ καρδία αυτου κεύθει κακά,

δυσφορεί και θλίβεται 

επί τη αδοξία αυτού 

και τήκεται εκ της ζηλείας αυτού.

Ο ζηλήμων είναι άθλιος και ελεεινός άνθρωπος.
